Simple a pheromone type that the rabbit is weak to was unleashed and the rabbit in response released his pheromones, However it doesn't counter act as one had hope thus leaving the rabbit overwhelmed and anyone else who is weak to pheromones overwhelmed. The snake had enough forsight before overwhelmed by the rabbits pheromones to get a bit away so he wouldn't act out like he did when his friend showed up.
