From what it seems, Kyle and Helen were in a relationship 10 years ago. She broke up with him, and paid him 1 million dollars (which he used on university fees and buying a house and car). She then gave him the nickname "call boy" due to this.
Well that's what google has made of it. This still doesn't explain their behaviour towards one another, and why she paid him to break up with her. She wasn't married at the time either.
