What's up with the rape?

❦;-нσℓєαтєя August 25, 2018 4:28 pm

In the first place the uke said yes to the seme, being his sex partner. So obviously, he want it too. SoooOOOoo where's the rape?

Good for you lol. And you should be grateful you haven’t been forced or coerced or manipulated to have sex before. 416

You actually had no idea what you're talking about, and this is getting really annoying. If this kind of thing is considered as rape then everyone might've been raped at some point in their life. Do you think this kind of case worthy to be brought to the court? Unless the uke/victime finds this as a problem, I don't think we should.

This kind of thing always happen in a relationship especially with a dominant male like this one. A weak resistance couldn't have been enough to give them the message to stop. Besides, I don't think that the uke actually means it when he said those. And a Dom male might've just seen this as a sub play, you know what I mean. It turns them on when their partner plays a little bit hard-to-get.

Lmao you’re the one who have no idea what they’re talking about. Yeah with those dom-and-sub plays they actually talk first before having sex, they develop safe words putting the sub ultimately in charge. They establish boundaries. “Weak resistance,” is okay? Hey like just think about it, someone who’s been coerced into sex can be considered weak resistance. Then afterwards, they didn’t really want to do it and regret it. And they keep thinking and thinking that there’s something wrong about it. Yeah. That’s rape. That happened to me. These things—manipulation, force, IS considered rape because guess what? The other party doesn’t want to do it. That’s it. There are no rules here—if one is NOT consenting, it’s considered rape. Rape is rape.

It’s annoying for me too. Explaining all this shit. Even if it’s not worthy to be brought to court, it shouldn’t be considered rape? The fuck? Like just look—uke says no, uke backs out, wants to leave but for the purpose of the story they live happily ever after and he grows to love the seme. Doesn’t change the fact he’s been raped.

2/2 Plenty of people have been raped, that’s true but bc it’s so normalized victims just get over it. Like I can’t even admit I’ve been raped to people but I knew what happened to me and I knew it was wrong. Rape is such a heavy word but let’s not brush it off when it’s there. Plus even then, even if it’s brought to court and there’s plenty of evidence most instances, rapist gets probation a lesser charge. People raped are still stigmatized in society and are condemned on. Most of the time they never see justice AND they have to live with their experience publicized.

I’m just saying—a good sexual partner will make sure their uke is ok, back off when uke’s saying no—actually makes sure that if he does goes on, he’s 100% sure that his partner wants to keep going. “I can’t hold back anymore!,” And thrusts it in.. that’s fucking bullshit. Of course you can. If you have some respect for your partner, you want to make sure both of you are okay, not just thinking of your own dick and your own release, sheesh. It’s common decency.

As I said.. like I LOVE YAOI but rape concepts is such a tired plot. Idk why you guys are coming after me—like how many yaois have you read? Most of them include rape! Lmao can’t handle the tea?

Just... Whatever. Have it your way.

It is pointless to argue with people who have emotion-biased judgments.

as someone who’s been assaulted before and had normal sexual relations, this manga isn’t rape. rape means asbsolutely no consent, but they both consented. he WANTED a sex partner. and went with the flow.

Consent is not a one-way ticket. Even if he wanted a sexual partner and wanted to have sex, ANYTIME DURING THE ACT consent can be revoked. I can want to have sex and change my mind anytime during it. Everyone has that right. Rape is when it stops being consensual. One partner wants to do it and the other not. That’s rape.

I have a lot of opinions on this. I tend to take Yaoi logic with a grain of salt, and I think most people should. I don’t think rape is okay, but in real life I think sex is never that clean cut most of the time. I don’t think your opinion is wrong, but I do think that this shouldn’t be taken seriously. I am however mad that you assumed they were male based on their lack of sensitivity. I think that often times based on what people read we assume a lot about them and I don’t necessarily think we should.

I went thorough this whole thread and it’s been like two years but I just decided to check the comments before I read this and it must be so frustrating having to explain this to people who I think are adults? Or at least grown teenagers? Like I just read some people’s replies to your comment and I’m like WHAT. THERES PEOPLE WHO THINK LIKE THIS. And it’s scary tbh, rape culture is so ingrained in our society people don’t even know when someone is being forced lol. They think consensual sex is “vanilla” it’s so scary. I’m glad there’s at least one “not rapey” person in here though. People are really messed up
