OH MY WHERE TO BEGIN
-I'm not a fan of slutty ukes/semes either
-the "he rapes him cuz he love him" trope,
-overly feminine ukes (in body, not personality)
-hyper masculine semes (in body, and sometimes personality--it can be toxic at times)
-when the uke/seme is a homophobe and /insists/ they're definitely NOT into guys despite fucking their love interest through out the manga
-abusive ukes: "he takes it up the ass so it's okayy!!"(readers/mangaka's always seem to give this a pass, since they see the uke as the "woman" in the relationship, but um women hitting men aint okay either??---BUT I DIGRESS)
-when semes have literally no emotion and ukes have all the emotions (i find this same issue in shoujou manga)
-uke/seme roles being so strict in manga. like it's okay when the characters are comfortable in their roles, but when the uke says "hey can I top for once??" why can't the seme just let them instead of making such a big deal out of it?
-relating to the previous point: when semes-turned-ukes or straight-man-turned-gay/bi see being a bottom as being less of a man. idk if that's a trope/genre or not, but it always irks me.
-when EVERYBODY is gay. like don't get me wrong, i like gay rep as much as the next person, but when an m.c gets involved with someone suddenly all the people in their life are gay. The 10 year platonic relationship the m.c has? Yeah, they've been into him since their first meeting. That guy that the m.c bumps into on the train? new rival. etc.
I'm sure there's plenty more, but that's all that I can think of atm

Not a genre, just a pet peeve, but I don’t like condoms in yaoi. Irl they are super important and used to prevent pregnancy and STDs, but since guys can’t get pregnant (unless it’s omegaverse, which I also hate) it makes me feel like one of the guys got a nasty disease or something. Also, I get its also for hygienic purposes blah blah but I don’t want to think of that shit (literally) when I’m just trying to enjoy some unrealistic cartoon porn... (Also I live for creampies sooooo.....)
Omegaverse and mpreg are probably the first thing you see at the gates of hell when you die...

- I despise omegaverses with all my heart
- when it doesn't matter what the seme or uke does they will never leave the other
- when they don't acnolege rape as rape or write it badly
- the "he raped him because he loved him and so the uke actually wants it" trope
- overly slutty uke that never changes even while being in a relationship
- When the uke (usually) says they don't like the seme and they have no romantic chemistry but because plot they end up together
