I feel you, its such a turn off ugh. Not only that but also this kind of attitude just shows how shallow "seme's-san" love is, cause when you love someone you care about their needs, you able to give in sometimes cause thats what relationship is about, agreement and understanding each other. Those 100% top that dont care about what their partner want are just selfish, their love is shallow and I hope this trope die as soon as possible. Super duper selfish! I guess he knows that the bottom blindly loves him enough to let him get away with such things. I want to one day read a story where the bottom just rebels if the top is so selfish. At least try it, if you can't get into it fine, but at least try.
Though to be honest I think my opinion is also colored by reality. It takes a lot of prepwork to do what the bottom does cleanly,safely, and without pain. A whole lot more than most Yaoi writers address.
I don't mind set roles in yaoi cause some people have preferences but it really bothers me when one of them expresses that they want to try topping and the other boy is like 'no, you're bottoming forever cause I ain't doing it'
I expect better in current yaoi era.
