There really shouldn't be a counter argument to dg being hit at all. Hitting a person, regardless of gender, out of anger and lack of self control is despicable, period. I understand why hitting a woman would be worse--seeing as how violent men get towards women and the difference in strength etc.--but as I said before it doesn't matter the gender, abuse is abuse.
