i do agree with you but i also believe that he actively left out when he would get a new girlfriend, even if they weren't meaningful relationships, they were relationships he chose to enter into, why have a girlfriend or girlfriends if that girl wasn't a meaningful parts of your life. thats the part that makes me bummed, i guess either way i cant be pleased, lol. because if he really did like his girlfriends to some extent, im bummed, and if he didnt but he still chose to have girlfriends, im bummed. i just wish there were no gf involved at all, im petty haha
Do so many authors feel the need to insert girlfriends, multiple girlfriends in the narrative. I'm a little annoyed that he had so many girlfriends and had one recently and yet also wanted to keep it a secret because he knew it would make things weird. Just annoyed idk
