in chapter 235, it explains it. jian yi receives money from brother qiu to take care of himself while his mother is gone for a while. so the money either came from orders of the dad or mom since brother qiu listens to either one and jian yi’s father is his boss. so it could’ve been from the dad but no one really knows where the money came from. just that he was given it to aid himself. http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/19_days/bt/m_chapter-235/pg-4/
