I didn't read most of your convos with Blackie but Ryouko's replies are heck long and wordy but not exactly rude UNLESS the comment Ryouko's replying to is rude. The earlier comment about the colored pages with 40+ likes was calmly handled until someone posted a comment insinuating entitlement. Please don't say "take to the heart" because technically all they have in doing scanlations is their heart, their passion for scanlating.
If they are doing this for profit, I'd say they should not take this to the heart and always please their audience but they don't make profit from this.

Go to Tumblr and you will see the same response from groups to such entitled asks. Though they choose not to post some but once in a while they do and you'd see the same defense for their work. Because no one gets to have a say or complain on how they should work on things, they are doing this for free. Claim that right to say whatever you want but people should know it's not the right way to behave in this community. It's common sense really.

People are extremely selfish and entitled

And then they get mad if sb has a disagreement but they have to right of free speech? :/

I said that they CAN but is not NICE (I did say tha they can do both things but there is no NEED for it and is NOT NICE to do that).. dunno why it was hard to understand

I grow up learning to be understanding and avoid being rude the most... so I did get surprised by the harsh answer that the scan guy gave ... and I shared my opinion about it... so why am I being hypocritical exactly? Cuz I really didn’t get why u thought that way of me...

I just didn’t like that the scan guy responded me rudely cuz I didn’t say anything to offend as far as I know so I was bummed out about all those comments cuz I wasn’t the only one being polite that got a rude answer... Maybe for Ryouko it wasn't harsh, for her standard that means if Ryouko DOES become harsh, it'll be really bad and hurtful; as you thought that you were not offending their group whatsoever. I guess am just making an excuse for her. Ryouko's replies were indeed getting out of hand but people keep flaming her emotions as people keep demanding what the group should do, which is to drop coloring.

Yeah I get what you r saying.. that ryouko person even called me cancerous cuz I said I didn’t like her mocking me on her response.. that was the first time someone got mad at me for starting my sentence with “honey”, but oh well I tryed to make someone kinder and nothing came out of it so is okay I gess.

I had to reread the very first convo/attack. And it was exactly what I have thought, it was indeed misalignment of views/behavior. Starting off with 'honey' is indeed more commonly used to insinuate authority or maturity, thus is used to degrade someone. It's not your intention but generally, that's how your comment would be received by a lot of people. And I thought Ryouko's first reply to you was normal and neutral but then you were also offended thus your following response heated up to Ryouko ending up calling you 'cancerous'. Both of your first encounters were actually kind and calm but you two just got offended off of each other. Lol.

But at least now you know how using 'honey' to start off talking to a stranger can derail your kind-hearted intentions/advice into an offending and condescending one.

Well, i am a bit old.. so no one never pointed out in real live that it was rude or something like that.. but he did mock me and I was trying to show him that being more amicable is a nice thing to do.
I just hope that people could be nicer.

Oh well no one will ever know how old you are in the internet. It happens and the culture in the internet is insane. You have a lot of sensitive and rude people and a lot of times just takes things out of context and blows everything out of proportion.

In the world where there are no faves, it is best to give criticism by praising first before easing in the criticism especially if the person is someone who can be reasoned with but may have become too emotional already. Or just let them have their way until it stops. After all scanlation groups should be appreciated rather than being dragged for their works.

I don't think I am understanding, I can be hard headed at times, but I try to be, so thank you, as well.
