The demon knows that he won't stay long and realize he is still not over by his dead lover. The demon wants the guy to trust him, but he did not choose the demon and he never blames him from that. He cried because he can't tend to his heart because he knows he lacks something and that is he can't be his lover. It is a beautiful ending for me, it did not make me cry but it made me feel sad and realize something that you can't force someone to stay if they are not willing to stay and to know where to stop.
