kings can have harems. so alta could be queen, but it might be another whom has the children.
Not all Kings have harems tho? And they hadn't mentioned if this was one of those types of kingdoms so I was just wondering or I thought it must just be a show of power? But maybe you're right. I shall wait and see :)
As a king is suppose to have children to keep a bloodline going they will have someone to birth. This is why kings whom don't have harems have Mistresses. And yes Mistress is someone who is not married to the king but is known as a consort. That is if alta's future mate is suppose to be king. It seems like it now since there is no talk of any children from the current king and he is called prince. Who knows, maybe White Harts are born sterile and it wouldn't matter anyways and another royal family member will be next in line. *shrug* there is much we don't know yet.
I assumed he wasn't first in line or he would already married to that other White Heart but as you said who knows we have little information so far.
Wait he can't have babies this isn't an omagaverse so why are they going to be "mates"? Just for the prestige?
