its someone else.innocent guy that resembles gusam.and detective knows that , but he just needed that case solved.They did fuck up his face and tortured him.to turn himself in but maybr it was so that his face cant be recognise as someone else but not gusam

I thought the torture scenes were from the present with Gusam being older, and what we see with Suchae is the past... I really hope imber is right because I suffer lol
