yes, but Alex also began to feel feelings in expressing jealousy but he treated DG like shit without any consideration. After that it is true that Alex had said everything at the beginning and that DG already had feelings for him and to accept thinking that he could support the situation
DG knows in the first place that they're just sex friends. Alex clarifies it immediately because he was still attached to his ex. But DG can't help it and still fell for Alex. So in the end, Alex got mad at him and he began look like the bad person here which I strongly disagree. Alex pointed it out, so DG here has the problem.. Dont blame Alex's shitness over DG.
