Well considering that it is a whole different world they could just make up their own brand new culture. I dont think they have to adhere to the culture and customs unless they specifically say a real life country. Or at least that's what I think.

it does look like a time set back into I don't know, the Middle Ages? They curtsied and bowed a lot back then, so maybe it's normal to bow as a greeting.
i've noticed in these isekai that sometimes you have a western setting but japanese etiquette....why would you go bowing everywhere? It can get really awkward ╮(￣▽￣)╭
