what was jisuh supposed to do?

He just got out of an abusive maniplative relationship with dohyeon and then ended up being coerced into walking into another manipulative and sort of emotionally abusive relationship. heejae used his weaknesses against him, researched his past, hired his first abusive ex to torment him again, and even made jisuh feel bad when he did nothing wrong and to top it off, he initially planned to break jisuhs heart. He wasn't able to get back at dohyeon because he ended up being stuck paying his debt and then when he found out he was being manipulated again by heejae who he fell in love with, he thought maybe this was chance to get back at his abusers for once. He was unable to walk away because bottom line he was in love and it hurts even more when you love them deeply. yes, heejae obviously truly loves jisuh but when you are manipulated to that extent, how can he just let bygones be bygones. doesn't heejae need to repent for his actions somehow. if jisuh just left or if he forgave heejae then how coulf heejae ever experience the consequences of his actions properly. im not saying jisuh shouldnt just have walked away but i know why he didnt
