What makes even less sense is why he was even there to begin with as it's later stated that they stopped being friends who even hang out. Why all of a sudden does he need to borrow something from you when you've apparently not been speaking for some time, that's a major plot hole

No that's not all we see, maybe you but if someone says "no" , "stop " or "wait" and you don't , that's rape. You think in real life you bust into a room and catch your best friend doing their private session. You just walk up to them and put your //// in them even when they say they don't want you to? You can go to jail for that, why? Because it's rape. I know real life and yaoi are way different but this rape plot in yaoi is overused.
