If we are talking about possessive lovers...

It's so weird to me that people are talking about how possessive the seme is and that the uke should leave him. I've read my fair share of yaois and boy this seme is one of the most normal ones I've seen out there. I am not excusing his behaviour, but there are a looot of truly possessive and toxic semes out there (ahem.... kay sensei) whom everyone seems to think are dream boyfriends, while here he deserves to lose his lover for pretty much vanilla stuff. Again, the vibe I got is that, although the seme is overbearing, it's always in a "I am not really serious" kind of way; there's always this comic feeling around his antics, and if the uke accepts, it's not because he truly believes the seme will die if he, say, meets his old friends, but because he's fine not meeting his old friends to begin with. Well, at least he realizes his behaviour is not exactly healthy, but again, uke shows that whatever may be wrong in his antics, he always accepts them by own volition. Nice story, deserves a higher ranking.

I agree! We have a lot of yaoi mangas that the same is 1000% worse!
    I really liked the story

    Putz
Entende?

I agree to this as well. The seme in this story just felt insecure and at least he didnt abuse or do something stupid to the uke

The uke may love the seme just as much as the seme loves him, because he was the only one who excepted him fully whereas he felt others didn't or wouldn't. They accepted each other. The uke loves the seme unconditionally regardless or rather despite of the seme's anxiety. The seme thought he manipulated the uke into the relationship and thought that he would one day lose him because of it. But it turned out that the uke was in love with the seme all along, and his possessive behavior wasn't suffocating, it proved that the seme loved him as much as he loved the seme.

The french chef was an idiot trying to break them apart so he could take him and his talent, didn't realize that he didn't have the same goals as most. The uke wanted to make cakes yes, but he wanted his seme to taste them first so in essence he wanted to make cakes that his lover liked.

At least that was what I took from the story.
