About rape, rape in Yaoi is always an issue where the limits are not easy to determin; one will see rape while others just don't care "because it's fiction", for others it may just be because Seme is being pushy etc...
Though about abuse of this sort, it's painful to watch and people feel more empathic/frustrated because the one in love who denies their dignity to please the other, while suffer this much, can also decide of their fate. But instead of leaving that abusive relationship, they will stay and suffer to no end. That's the reason why people, while pitying them, also yell at them.
