i don’t think the author is trying to make us like bum though. plus it’s not like he’s the only one in the story ignoring other people’s emotions and having blind desires, when you think about it. you can certainly say the same of sangwoo.

He never had any satisfaction in his life and had to deal with abuse for 20+ years.
Also, he isn't ignorant, in fact, he has a Major Inferiority Complex and actually doesn't think much of himself, that he's never good enough.

Bum expresses ONCE in his entire life the desire to be special for a person ( who also abused, tortured and raped him for months) and now he's thinking only to his own satisfaction? What sufferings or emotions is ignoring? He doesn't even know about sangwoo's past. He even stayed in that home because he didn't want to make Sangwoo sad, while Sangwoo left him alone with the corpse of his uncle for days.

This is what I am saying. Sangwoo left him, abused. He didn't care about Bum. But Bum still wants Sangwoo. He was ignoring clear signs from Sangwoo to leave him alone. If I threat someone like sh***, it's my way of telling to leave me alone. And person ignoring it ignores my wishes. But by any means I am not defending Sangwoo.

What even? Bum did try to escape MANY times. It was Sangwoo himself who didn't let him or other things pretending him to escape. Bum did indeed realize that Sangwoo is all f'ed up and DID try to escape even after they kissed.
Ever heard of Stockholm Syndrome? It fucked with his view of the reality and him remembering the Sangwoo from the military doesn't make it better.
Sangwoo did NEVER want Bum to go. In fact, he made him kill someone sleep he's umable to escape.

Yes, he did try to escape...30 chapters ago. Then he had many chances to "escape". But he didn't. And don't blame it on Stockholms syndrome. Stalking someone, breaking into their house and etc... What do you expect? Roses and butterflies? Break in to my house, and I don't care what kinda childhood trauma you have - I will brake your legs.

He stopped trying to escape because of Jieun's death, that was shown when Seungbae tried to bring him out of the house. He's afraid that if he runs away, that Sangwoo goes to the police and gives him the fault.
Yes it is Stockholm Syndrome. Bum stopped loving him in Chapter 7, Sangwoo kept bringing him back and abused him more and more, then made him kill someone. Bum fell into the trap of believing that they're a couple and Sangwoo made him lie to the police.
And you're crazy if you actually think breaking someone's legs is the way how do deal with things.
Sangwoo is at fault the moment he smacked Bum with the bat. Everything after that is Sangwoo's and only his fault.

Why do you need to insult me? I get that you hate Sangwoo, but have you ever actually had a stalker? How would you react coming home from work, and seeing dude, that you almost don't know rummaging through your things? Give him high five? Yes, Sangwoo manipulated Bum. But what else he could do? Let Bum go and risk being exposed?

Sangwoo never knew that Bum stalked him nor did Bum have intentions of harming him.
Also, there are several other things he could've done to Bum, throwing him out after he saw the corpse for example.
Bum would've never gone to the police to expose Sangwoo. He's not such a kind of person nor does he have the courage.
