And in the novels there are so many boners, someone is literally always having a boner They are very addicting tho if you just take them for what they are, I’m already almost finished with the second book and I just started reading a couple of days ago not my proudest read, but entertaining non the less

My thoughts exactly! Gotta admit I read all the books and even enjoyed them, but god some expressions the writer uses.... well it's indeed fanfiction level writing. Good for when you are bored and want some cheesy kinda spicy read. If you know the genre you will have probably read worse stuff and know what to expect. (=・ω・=)

Tbh I think there's considerable improvement, plot-wise, from Without Reservations to With Caution. Sure, it's still very trash, but I think the second book's got more... coherence. And tbh I like the characters better.
(Also, given the level of fanfiction writers I read, I find it surprising that people compare this to fanfiction. Writers like Sineala on AO3 have such great skills I can only hope to achieve).
Just got done reading the book and I have to say, I prefer the manga. The book feels like a teenager writing a BL fanfic. The interaction are really awkward with anyone in the book.
People's reactions seem inhuman, for example as we all know Chay's mom is a bit racist and a homophobic. She catches Keaton and Chay right after Keaton gets out of the hospital, like in the manga. But how she first finds out about their relationship is horrible, Chay was giving Keaton a handjob. Unlike their innocent kiss in the manga, the mom gets something ten times more intense. How the characters handle this scene is very weird.
The mom starts by saying "I come to vist and this is how you thank me?!" Okay.... that's a weird way to address the problem. hay then explaines that their mates, but he also explains it really weird. He says were mates, take it or leave. Just like that he knows his mom and he doesn't try to explain it at all, he just really distant to everyone.
Another great thing is that in the manga their not having sex every five seconds. They literally grab each others dicks in public. Have sex right next to their parent's bedroom.
The manga also corrects the extremely awkward dialogue between characters. Any kind of conflict is to easily solved in the book, spoiler (not really though it doesn't even really leave a dent in the plot) the mother, once finds out about the gay thing, she leaves saying she needs to think. At the end of the novel she comes to the house to apologize and Chay says "it's okay. Your over it" <- what? that's so weird to say! Why did he say it like that?
I would say that people who like this manga read the book. It's real short and more then half of it is filled with sex scenes. You can also skip a lot of dialogue it's obvious that the author only wanted sexy parts and left the main problems half baked. If anyone has read Fifty Shades Of Grey, its like that but slightly better(in terms of writing). So if you really liked that book you'll like Without Reservations. Though I suggest reading it on Wattpad it's not worth money, if you like it enough though do support!
