What do you mean?
When Hiro-san try to press his reaction to the "omega smell" (forgot the real name, you get what I mean), you call that pretending?
I feel like you miss some informations about the manga. Even though omegaverse is a common theme, not all omegaverse have the same rules.
Just like in this manga, apparently even though an omega is not in heat, their "smell" can attract alphas if they don't have partner.
Meanwhile, in most of omegaverse mangas that I've read so far, omega can only attract alphas if they're in heat.
That's why Hiro-san unintentionally attracted to the smell.
And as A GOOD/LOYAL/LOVING husband, he tried everything he can to PRESS the URGE/ATTRACTION.
It's the same thing as how in real life people try to "not to attracted" to someone who's hot/attractive so they won't hurt their partners.
And PLEASE EXPLAIN, how can his honest reaction makes Misaki the bad guy? I think Hiro san is the MATURE character and understanding that his wife is easily feeling down, he didn't want to worry him.
Misaki REALIZED that he's not the only one who suffer for being omega. His husband suffers too. How can you make a conclusion that Misaki was a bad guy?
I read the comments here and NO ONE said that Misaki was the bad guy.

Sorry, but what I see is that for every one step forward Hiro takes he seems to take two steps backward as well. I'm not talking about his reaction to MochiZUki. For me I thought his reaction to Mochizuki would actually lead to showing me more character development than the little I saw up til now. So I thought it was actually a step forward (so don't go there). No, I believe the two steps back actually came in response to that very situation. He makes Masaki out to be the bad guy once again when he's (pretending) he's so perfect. I say that "he's (pretending) he's so perfect" because the way he thinks is very clichéd, the opposite of perfect.
