I was also confused at first but then I read the sentences again and once I finished the manga, oof, tears XD

Basically
Let me make this clear first.
Ayato and Takumi are twins.
Yuzuru is the one without the memories.
And the brother and the other guy are not tht important to the confusing parts.
Ayato, Takumi, and Yuzuru are half related. Yuzuru is the son of the monster guy with a human mother. Ayato and Takumi are the son of the monster guy and idk who else.
Yuzuru met Ayato when they were younger with no recollection of the father being his father. Then Ayato, knowing the cause of the fires, wanted to bring Yuzuru to the father so that maybe the father would calm down after seeing Yuzuru. But then Ayato realised that wasn't the case, and sacrificed himself to the father. Yuzuru watched the whole thing btw. Father ate Ayato, came to realise it was his son, then cried, and then burned the shrine down with himself in it. Yuzuru survived this. But became mute and couldnt remember anything.
Yuzuru's mum later (?) remarried to Yuzuru's brother's father. And Yuzuru's non related brother fell in love w Yuzuru. Yuzuru meets Takumi, Ayato's twin, and his half brother, go out with him, gets locked up.
Then Yuzuru remembers what happened and thought he was responsible for Ayato's death, then went to the shrine. How he escaped the shackles, I pun tk tahu kk. Anyways, later he's found but is not dieded. A bit kena burn here and there. Aiya i also dk how this youkai half human thing works la eish
Then later Takumi is all like "Ily2 lets be tgt"
And tada~
I thought the manga gave a quite serious feel to it. But this confusion reminds me of a few other mangas that took me some time to understand due to the vagueness and messiness in terms of organizing it
