Yes it does happen irl. I studied Buddhism and there’s secrecy regarding exactly what goes down, but it does happen in some sects. I can’t recall completely since it’s been a few years, but as far as I remember it was some secret room thingy where they engage in worldly desires like sex, alcohol, etc. But it’s not exactly open to the public to know about
