The author is revealing the reasons as to why Jiwon is the way he is and how were brought up in real life absolutely affects who we are as people. As you stated yourself.
His parents. Our parents are all we have from birth until adulthood. Do you think someone’s mentality would be the best if they had their creators literally talk down about them any chance they got even when they were excelling far beyond their peers who received love? It’s not just about sex here like most yaois are. Sex isn’t bad but you need to on be able to look past what’s blatant and see deeper meaning. Indeed he liked DG for the physical from the start. But as the author is slowly revealing DG is similar to Jiwons first love which is why he was physically drawn to him. That’s natural being around a person and getting to know little things about them tends to bring about feelings . From flashbacks Jiwon was clearly played by his first love so feeling like no matter what nobody would love you will turn a person into what Jiwon is. A closed off asshole. He didn’t receive love from those most important people in his life so he refuses to give it but feelings and emotions are strong. No matter how he tries to fight it he started to enjoy Dg and everything about him. That’s just how’s love works. Everyone can work on themselves and the author seems to be headed in that direction. Jiwon is finally self reflecting. His feelings for Dg are clearly legit, he just need his abused mind to catch up with his feelings . None of this excuses jiwons shittyness but there’s story to everyone. And he’s hurting because he finally found someone who loves him
And he knows it but he’s so scared to get hurt again he decides to do the hurting first. Dg isn’t perfect himself. There’s reasons he is the way he is now. No ones perfect and we all can grow and heal. Dg is clearly what Jiwon needs and Jiwon knows it. Just allow them to grow and heal together. This is actually a really relatable and beleivable situation. Life is crazy just like this. But thats what’s makes this story so good.

I understand what the story is telling and I understand how it's progressing. What I'm saying is Jiwon switched from being actually disgusted by DG laying his head on him to running in the rain to try and talk to him. Something just doesn't add up. Yes I understand the abuse his parents and ex put him through, but out of all the people Jiwon met in his life he only had one person he loved? No best friends or close people he could tolerate at least? He has "friends" yeah but just for appearances. Jiwon just seemed like a genuinely mean spirited person to begin with. Yeah you could blame it on his parents but why even moved out and with people that care about you would you not even show a slight bit of kindness? All of it has been fake. And he treated DG like actual trash. So what makes DG soooo different from all the others? Cause he looks similar to his ex? I'm sure lots have. He's had sex plenty of times before DG. So why does DG get special treatment? Why can't Jiwon all of a sudden not do it with anyone but DG? Can't be because he loves him because 'the not being able to have sex without DG' started before they even had a proper meeting. To Jiwon DG was just another fan. If it was the similarities of his ex he found in DG that did it then Jiwon doesn't love DG. He just loves the physical parts of him.

That’s so far from the truth. So so far. There’s nothing fake about his feelings for DG. I have no way to explain that to you. Maybe youd have to experience it yourself.
But none of this comes off as him just wanting to fuck DG and you are really taking away from the authors good work in their delivery. The author did such a good job of including the flash back and to give us a psychological look at the characters behaviors. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion but you’re trying to make psychological problems black and white and that is not how life works honey. It’s a fictional

Though it is a fictional story it’s is indeed telling a story. A story a lot of people have gone through and may be going through which is why a lot of people read fictional stories: they are relatable. People don’t just make work for fun. Authors make stories for a reason, maybe someone in their life went through this or they are going through this and they want to share the trials they went through and how they corrected themselves. But to simplify someone’s work that we get to view for free is just so disappointing but youre obviously young so that obviously doesn’t matter for you. Which is cool but grown relationships are like this. It’s just yaoi. That it is but again with the simplifiying. I have respect for authors who deliver stories to us that we steal for free in these websites. Dude I just want to know why DG is so special. That's it. I'm not looking deeper because the story isn't finished. I'm voicing my thoughts. I value authors to hell and back for the effort and sacrifices they take to get their work out there. Especially when put on sites like this for those that can't afford to support them properly. Whether I am younger or older than you that does not discredit my opinion. Even if you believe it's only surface level. I have questions about the story that just don't add up to me. That's okay. The story isn't finished. Not everything has been revealed. I respect your opinion and all you've said. I find different POVs on stories very interesting. That's why I voiced my thoughts. To get other people's thoughts as well. Just because we disagree doesn't mean I am immature or wrong in a way. It's just how I have seen things so far.

Well, I'm 35 now and do lots of therapy so things aren't so bad
This is bothering me. Jiwon knew DG liked/loved him from the very beginning but refused to acknowledge those feelings. Even then he didn't show any type of romantic interest in DG. Just physical. All of a sudden he's whining about love. If he really wanted someone to love him I figured he'd have felt something sooner and other than a boner. I am also conflicted about his parents and his peers. Even he himself said he liked the attention and didn't like being nice to people. My train of thought is leaning towards he just misses the attention rather than DG.
