Also, a lot of the people who are bashing this manga are probably not even sure why they dislike it so much. Let's be real, a lot of yaoi features dark themes. I don't really think that's the problem... But this manga does have a fatal flaw. In every chapter it introduces a fascinating premise and then ends without a satisfying resolution.
The most basic unit of story structure is conflict > resolution. No conflict creates a boring story. No resolution creates an unsatisfying story. In these stories, conflict is created, the tension rises, and then at the height of that tension, just as the resolution should be about to start, the story stops.
In every chapter, the resolution is only a panel or two and we're left wondering what happened next..
