Thanks, Captain Obvious! I bet nobody could’ve guessed if they’ve been paying attention in their history class that marriage for alliances or money has been happening for centuries and that marrying for love is a modern concept, so thank you so much!

but I was simply stating my opinion after reading chapter 1, they were hyping up the marriage as if its the worst possible scenario (and i'm like, this is no big deal really) hence the comment.

I have an unpopular opinion, it's harsh I know but one loveless marriage is a small price to pay to prevent a war.
its sad for the man and woman who will be in the relationship but look at the bigger picture, their "sacrifice" will prevent:
1.) the slaughtering of thousands of innocent lives (woman and children especially)
2.) the Epidemics/ plagues caused by dead bodies being strung bout
3.) the famine caused by the soldier pillaging farmlands
4.) invading soldiers often gangrape enemy women AND young girls
I could go on and on but I think I made my point
