The plot was average, at best. The characters were annoying, the pace was weird and the conflicts were cliché. The art was pretty though. #-.-)
I think my displeasure really fell to the characters and their connection. Hikaru was ostentatious and overbearing and it annoyed me. Usually I enjoy a pushy seme if they are the "overgrown puppy" or the "arrogant playboy", but Hikaru was a combo of both and it felt like too much. Kei was simply lifeless. I felt nothing either from him or for him. I never got the feeling that he even liked Hikaru as a child, let alone as his older version. There was no spark at all.
I will probably have to accidentally reread this a few times before I even remember the plot and characters.
