I highly doubt Old Xian will be next. Old Xian is already pretty well known, if anything it would’ve happened already a long time ago. Also this isn’t the first time she has drawn Zhan Zheng Xi and Jian Yi in an intimate position, she has drawn them french kissing in an illustration she drew in 2015 and drawn Zhan Zheng Xi sucking on Jian Yi’s ear in another illustration for Chinese Valentine’s day earlier this year.

Also it’s not sudden or rushed, it’s not even an actual chapter, just illustrations like any other BL author does of their canon couples. and like I said, she has drawn this couple in intimate positions before. It’s not like this is some sort of decision she has made because she has planned on stopping the story. You’re making a lot of broad assumptions based on panic. This is just a couple of “extra” sketches that were published in her official 19 Days Volume 1 book that she published that have never been seen before excluding the ones we have already seen, similar to the other black and white extra chapters published earlier.

just answering your question so please don’t assume i’m being harsh >.< but you’re definitely overreacting. old xian is probably one of the one popular weibo users on weibo, where tons of millions constantly share her works. if the police were after her, tan jiu, and the rest of mosspaca team whose works show lgbt stuff, they would’ve had something happen to them a long time ago. there are still plenty of authors. this story still has quite a ways to go. it’s not any different than her drawing the characters in intimate positions since the beginning in late 2014.

and btw that person was mainly arrested because they wrote “porn”, which just so happened to be boys love do it was easy to target/arrest them for it under the pretense of the reason being “porn”. so essentially as long as old xian doesn’t write/draw a sex scene, she’s fine — although i have no doubt she’d been fine even if she did. but anyways, old xian is a shounen ai writer, she only ever goes borderline with the sexual stuff but never crosses it so it’s not something you have to worry about. there are other chinese manhua bl authors that still continue to write as well like Here U Are for example which is quite popular which contain kisses and stuff as well. there will often never be any sex scenes in Chinese manhua because of this but that doesn’t mean they won’t show other stuff.

I don't think you're being harsh at all and I'm more grateful for your explanation which made me a ton relieved that there wasn't any danger to begin with. I don't live in China nor did I know the technical guidelines what go on there, so I assumed the worst. Now that I think about it, Old Xian was never in any danger since she does shounen ai to pg-13 level and even if she did, it would have happened way back.

As long as her mango is still serializing online (could be found on Weibo (seems like twritter) and Tencent mango (a popular chinese mango app), she will be fine. I live in China when I was young. I don’t know where the news comes from but there is definitely no laws for banning homo or thsoe who write or draw related topics on homo. there are lots of online bl novel and the recent popurlar anime adapted from online is The Grand Master of Demonic Cultivation. I really like this anime with fascinating chinese ancint style and share with you here. Meanwhile, I guess the person who is charged do broadcast explicit obscenity online and even worse and is reported. If people broadcast hetero too expicit online and being reported, it’s also a problem. Those are what I know and don’t worry about that much.
