well..that was anticlimactic..

i knew this wasn't going to be a super long story, but i feel like this was just..disappointing?? a few things were just hinted at, others shown but there are still many questions open, and i also feel like we could've seen a little bit more of their actual feelings and relationship lol like..i don't feel like everything is resolved?? i don't feel really invested in their now fluffy ending?

the flashback to the photo seems to indicate that chiaki did that for a reason
i mean..why show the man (i assume his father?) being on the phone and relentlessly apologizing? did he get money for it? is that why he wanted to keep it a secret so desperately? because he didn't seem to really hide his sexuality imo lol or was it just to illustrate the timeline?

i also could've done without the fatty sex haha, i mean yeah sure it was there to show the reader and chiaki that no, it's not actual fat people you're into, it's just kou, no surprise there, but he still slept with that fat old man, who even gave him money at the end ffs thanks for making him prostitute, even if that wasn't his intention...
(i also don't get why chiaki was painted to be more of a slut in the beginning (i mean he was using the site, he just fucks with kou, despite not knowing if it's his old love, and he also talks about his 'reviews'..i mean,...did he keep trying having sex with other fatties despite that incident? probably,..at least we didn't have to see that haha, but it's hard to tell if he slept around or not for sure, since that was left open)

masaki also seemed to let the relationship end pretty easily after the photo was of no use anymore , you blackmailed him for so long and now you just stop everything? why?? like you couldn't have found something new to use or recored chiaki and threaten him or something..even after kou appeared he didn't actually do much..seems like a little bit of a half-assed personality there, is he an asshole now crazy for chiaki or not? idk

Not sure if it is lost in translation, but in the raw, it was clear that the father was apologizing over debt, and Chiaki raised money (nude photo thing) to help cover the debt. Chiaki reason for not fighting back from being blackmailed is to ensure his father does not know the truth. After his father death, he has no reason to stay with Masaki, thus he ended their relationship. Chiaki clearly does not care if his sexuality is known, as long as it is not his father.

Chiaki is unlikely to be sleeping around after the fat encounter since it is implied he does not enjoy it. As for Chiaki sleeping with the fat guy, it is because he is unable to forget about Kou, but has no way to contact him. His fat obssession was stemmed from his unable to forget Kou. That is why the ending shows how grateful he is that Kou pursued him all the way to his school, even as far as the dating app.

As for why Chiaki is painted as a slut, that is all in Kou's head, because Kou does not know what Chiaki has gone through. What I find fascinating about this series is that, although we get to see Chiaki back story, Kou never get to learn any of it, but he still choose to continue loving Chiaki. Meaning that, even if Kou false impression of Chiaki is a slutty, fat loving guy, it does not change how much he loves him.

yeah that's what i thought, but the chapter here leaves this somewhat open, at least no one else commented on it? in the first chapters it seemed like masaki was threatening chiaki about telling his dad he's gay, and not that he made this nude photo, but yeah, i thought so that chiaki only did the photo to raise some money for his dad. (even tho i still think that it makes no sense for masaki to just let him go like that)

i got all the other things, but like i said, i felt some were unnecessary (or to some extent, like we readers knew that he was actually only attracted at kou, not fat man in general) or not as clear as they could've been, and i - personally - would've preferred it if chiaki would have come to that conclusion without having sex with that old fat guy lol..especially since again, that guy gave him money afterwards. i also wouldn't put it past any guy to keep fucking their type, even if it's not as good as they thought it would be :'D

and is it though? when he blows kou, he says that the reviews said it's good with a tongue piercing, now the question is, did he read it online somewhere or was he referring to what people told him? they also did meet on that site, which even chiaki himself acknowledged. we know kou was only on there for chiaki, but chiaki sure wasn't. on top of that, chiaki also isn't portrayed as one who has a 'special' relationship to sex at all, his first partner was masaki, and he had to keep having sex with him whether he wanted to or not, then, he goes and sleeps with an old fattie, it was pretty clear that they were only meeting for sex, aside from the fact (again lol why) that he even gave chiaki money, they didn't have a relationship or did go to dates, and chiaki also only spoke of his physical attraction, not about the guy itself aside from being fat at all. maybe chiaki wasn't into dating who knows. so, yeah, i'm pretty sure chiaki was not pure in that regard, i don't think sex mattered to him that much in a 'romantic' sense. not shaming him at all, just WHO he was sleeping with bothers me haha...i just wished that was made a little bit clearer, because like you said, kou loves him anyway.

I honestly don't get the problem with Chiaki sleeping with that guy (or any other, for that matter) since he and Kou weren't in a relationship at the moment and he didn't even have any way of contacting his original crush (Kou). Should he had remained celibate forever? Don't think so. Specially not when his first time (and the ones that followed) were FORCED on him and he clearly didn't enjoy it. He had every right to sleep with whoever he wanted (he wanted Kou? Yep, but he wasn't there so...).

As for the money part, why blame him? It was the other guy misinterpreting the situation and he refused to take it from the start and he didn't do anything similar after that either, so implying that he was a prostitute is way over the top. He's always been genuine and straightforward with his feelings for Kou, and I actually find brave of him to not drop everything that happened in his past on Kou as a way to gain his sympathy.

All in all, Chiaki is a survivor. All he ever did was to try and help with the burden his father wad carrying and got blackmailed for it by that psycho, something that he himself stopped when his father died, since he didn't care what the rest of the world would think of him. I mean, if we were in such a crappy situation that I ended up being a nude model for some guy, I don't think my parents would like that, even less a Japanese one, the shame he would feel for not only the action per se but also the fact that his child was helping him using his own body... yep, that would have been awful

haha i understand what you mean, but please note that i am not criticizing chiaki or/and his actions, but the story and more so the story-telling and what the mangaka choose to put in there (or not, for that matter) and how part of the narrative shifted, left things unexplained etc.
