me too. i thought the same. especially when i saw on one of the chapters, if i remember correctly the one with the feather on the bed or something. it made me think that he shape shifted. indeed. it sure is interesting! can't wait for the next chapter. it keeps on getting better. (▰˘◡˘▰)
