In novel updates some novels have different translators, novelupdates just provides links to the translator's site.
Just click on the chapter, read then click next to proceed.
If it either skipped a chapter or there's no more, go back to novel updates and click the next chapter you're suppose to read.
*Links would sometimes direct you to an announcement like page of the translator, don't fret there will be a link to the actual chapter posted.
or you could download said novel's pdf or epub in asianovel.
