Girl same!! It’s kinda awkward how different he is, feels like someone else lmao I can’t cope with the difference.

Ya I feel like with the back story the author was trying to show that Alex now is kinda like what he used to be before his ex. Still it’s a pretty huge change over night like he should still kinda have his guard up insecurities don’t disappear like that
