No. What are you saying? A dad is a dad. There is always the responsible as a father if you have a child. And its not like Fumi's dad is a scum or what. He did not even cause the debt. Just because you made your child's life a turmoil, does not mean you have to abandon her and let her be on her own. Then what? Should Fumi's father go "Yes, yes, please have my daughter." to a random stranger he had just met? I would like to repeat the fact that its always normal for a father to worry for his child. That is logic and reality. Don't confuse yourself just beacause its a manga.

Like.I.Said. What does that gives the right of him to not stop his daughter? "throws a young girl to the wolves?" do you even remember why it turned out like that. There is no things like "not a dad" unless ones dad is a scum who hurts their daughter and etc. An Unreliable dad is not what makes you not father worthy. Grow up or make not make a fuss out of it? THATS NOT THE PROBLEM HERE. The problem is people are deniying the fact that he dosent have the right to do anything as a father. What a crap! IMMA SAY IT AGAIN BUT *breathes in* Dont confuse yourself just because it is a manga, what fumi's dad did is what any normal dad would do. This is logical and reality. Dont underestimate normal fathers!

I totally agree with you! Just because he was unreliable doesn't mean that he gave up any right to be a part of her life. He has always cared for her, and it makes sense that he would want to make things right and try to remove Fumi from the potentially bad situation that she's in, now that he can. It would honestly disappoint me if he hadn't gotten mad.

First off, chill out. You posted "I see some of you are angry at Fumis dad", I am, so i replied. I did not attack you in any manner nor say anything rude. I politely responded with why some people may feel that way towards the character.
Secondly, chill the fuck out. Mayhaps you should listen to your own words and "don't confuse yourself just because it's a manga". Do not project your issues onto me.
I stand completely by my original statement. I'm not implying her father is "scum" or that she shouldn't have a good relationship with him. The "logic and reality" is that he did leave her to fend for herself and his as well, as she was managing a place to live, school, a job, and making payment on the debt. And, yes, being unreliable is a problem because that is what children do...they rely on their parents. I would be more inclined not to dislike the father had he simply made her (and sensei) aware of his feelings rather than assaulting the person who was actually there for her and demanding she do as he says. Fumi is not a small child, she is an older and considerably more mature child who as I said made a place for herself.

Okay okay, Im chill. I guess I do sound mad but Im not, (in fact its very monotone). (psh its just a manga) but your point is not exactly wrong but the first one is. "Its no longer his place"? He is Fumi's dad. He has the rights to make desicions. (do I even need to mention the fact that Fumi is underage as well? I really dont want to) -psh, and also, "I think you may misunderstand" was it? Im the same, I commented because a lot of people are thinking wrongly. I have no intention to project any issue to anyone, I just wanna state my point. So, you chill to okay. Just because I made it look like its serious, dosent mean you have to take me seriously too.

I guess here's the deal, there is no reason to be upset either way. It's totally fine to judge hI'm by manga logic or real-life logic. It would be hypocritical of me if I said that I never supported some crazy manga logic because it helped the plot. My point was that I wish people wouldn't have such a negative impression of the dad just because of this
Y'all, I see some of you are angry at Fumi's dad for "ripping them apart", but imagine visiting your (underage) daughter after a while and finding that she is dating a much older man, who just "slept" with her. While he is in no position to judge b/c it is his fault she ended up in that situation, it is totally understandable that he would freak out. So give him a break, for all he knows, Sensei could be a total creep.
Moreover, I like how it gives Sensei an opportunity to actually prove his intentions and make things right. The fact that he is trting to prove himself to her dad makes me really happy, because he is proving how serious he is about their relationship. :)
