Make up is different things. It is an art. It can boost ones confidence and it can be used for fraud. But I think taking care of your skin, wanting to look pretty and applying make-up is not wrong. I like putting on a little make-up because first of all, I like doing it. It's fun and creative. I also like to look pretty. The same applies to clothes. Different clothes can make you look like a whole other person.

I like to think makeup is a tool that can do many things, even boost one’s confidence and help them tackle on the day or a way to make someone feel comfortable in their own skin. Or maybe trying to emulate a style or personality to others. People are the frauds, but even then someone who you might think of as a fraud can also be someone who needs a hardcore boost in their self-esteam or outer image as this world is heavily focused on one’s outer appearances.

And this is coming from a person who wears makeup 5 times a year.

I never said that using makeup is wrong, or that people who use it for different reasons are mistaken either. I'm just saying what I think the purpose of makeup is to me, and that's to give people the power to completely change themselves to how they want to look and have others believe it. And if that means I trick everyone into thinking I'm an amazon warrior princess who can beat the shit out of anybody instead of a plain background character who can't confess to their crush, I'm all for it.
