What do you mean her looks? The one with make up?
I haven't read it yet and I know about the news that Nitrogenix is pertaining. Actually, the woman always wear make up and pro at it so after marriage, she removed her make-up before honeymoon so the husband was schock bc she looks totally different, and I think for him, that sorts like a lie.

Well she does wear the make up a lot but not all the time. The boy (sry i suck at remembering korean names but you know who i am talking about) saw her "true self" and seems to love her more when she is natural. The story wants to show us that we are better natural, not the opposite!
And the mc doesn't want to lie or anything she is just really insecure about herself which is normal at her age and considering her backstory.
Also I don't think you should compare a story you didn't finish with another that you finished. This is just unfair :/ can't force you to read True Beauty but I'm just saying.
Have a nice day! (⌒▽⌒)

Although i agree with your point that people should be loved by who they are not how they look that isn't always the case. Alot of social media influence makes people desire to look a certain way and consequently try to live up to expectations that they have been exposed to. This causes people to have a low self-esteem and nitpick their flaws and insecurites. I like this manga becuase it does show how this affects a person (the mc) and although the plot doesn't feel complete and seems a bit cliché I have hope that the author can add more to the story and to the overall message they are trying to give out to the readers.
Much love, babugee
This reminds me of a man who married a girl. And the next morning he woke up and he got quite a scare seeing a total different girl lying next to him. Point is, she was sort of lying about her looks fromt the start. He immidiatky divorced here. Altough i like the idea. It also feels like lying. I just can’t read it, i think people should be loved for who they are, not for how they look.
