I dont really remember the story much, but judging from this chapter my current thoughts are that they're both idiots. Both of them were so panicked that they pretended to be straight, the seme even had a wife and child... it sounds like they both essentially did the same thing, only the seme did it worse. One of them should've confessed if they were just going to be miserable anyways and i definitely think that the seme should've pulled a hail mary and confessed if he was about to give MARRIAGE to someone he doesn't love a shot specifically TOO stay by his side...

Just wanted to point out that homosexuality is not really common or accepted in Japan. But what is common is the duty to marry and get a child. So omiais and forced marriages are a really common thing in Japan, while homosexuality is not. As a closet gay the seme tried pretending to not be gay and live up to his parents' expections aka marrying a woman and having a child with her.

I mean he's the one who said he realized what Toki's feelings were when he was just about to get married but then never said anything after he divorced his wife, so I really think Hisamitsu is the ONLY 'idiot' and that this also has nothing to do with the contemporary treatment of gay people in Japan.
