Zura and Takasugi (Haha I see what you did there ) are his best friends, surely hope Takasugi is alright...but what about Hijikata ffs ?

lol since gorilla sensei practically show us that gintoki is bisexual (he was implied slept w madao and kondo at least once), and amongst gintoki's relationships w people (not counting his kids; kagura and shinpachi) the one he has with hijikata is the most developed one.

There were a lot of animosity between the two when the series began, since hijikata viewed gintoki as someone associated with joui rebels, since, the first time they met gintoki were spotted with zura and were helping him get away.

Over time, they grudgingly became ally, then not so grudgingly, then they grudgingly became friends, and not so grudgingly, and before the final war they share a drink where hijikata gave gintoki permission to finish his bottle when all is truly over and gintoki is save, sound, and happy, but gintoki insist that they'll have that drink together (and drinking w other people are better than drinking alone). That kinda sound like they both were making a promise in the future where they're both happy and able to celebrate it with drinks.

So when i said hijikata ffs, i mean it in every sense. for fuck's sake gorilla, let them both survive and have that fucking drink and that fucking happy future.

Ohh!! Dear !!! I couldn't have said it better myself!! Cheers to you my friend!! Your absolutely right, Gintoki and Hijikata share the absolutely most unique, complicated and developed relationship of all and have the most amazing chemistry together. I love the way you said , "grudgingly, and then not so grudgingly" because your choice of words perfectly describes how they felt about each other throughout their time , especially Toshii anyway and how he eventually comes to have a lot softer feelings for gin san. I actually happen to love Hijikata and Gin san a lot and Toshiro is also my one absolutely favorite character and I just love their relationship and interactions together.

And I love how you said Hijikata ffs, in every sense .....so your right, please Sorachi/gorilla sensei, grant us our this one wish and "let them both survive and have that fucking drink and that fucking happy future together" and then I don't even care if I die the very next day cause I can die happy I swear.....Nothing would make me happier than to let gin san and Hijikata san be able to share their final happy moment together ....cause that's also ultimate happy moment ....now I'm crying

I like that scene but not as much i like the the scene where gintoki n hijikata eat each other's bowls then be like - disgusting!!!
