Uneccesary. Its not on you to call people dumb just because they find a story boring. They could easily call you stupid for getting so invested in such a plot. I personally like it but it isn't for everyone, and the notion that it is, and that anyone who doesn't "appreciate it" only does so because they're stupid is ridiculous and ignorant.
