i will never understand the appeal of having the person who bullied you and tormented you become your future love interest. like seriously it's one of the worst narrative tropes that authors consistently rely on. It perpetuates the toxic idea of someone likes you by picking on you or finding ways to "hurt" you to get their feelings across. It's such a damaging thing to keep telling people that this is aspirational. Pulling someone's pigtails so to speak doesn't mean I love you it means I don't love you enough to fully respect you. Worse this omegaverse genre is making all and every toxic trope have breeding ground within BL.

I mean, i completely agree with you, but in the case of this story i think calling the seme a "bully" is a bit extreme. If you look at the past memories of the uke, the seme was never actually mean to him (except the last time, when he threw his jacket on him... but even still, that couldve been a misunderstanding). I havent read the raws, but im assuming the whole bully thing was a concept on the uke's part. He probably couldve told the seme "No" multiple times, but didnt.
But yeah, i completely get what youre saying. I FUCKING HATE BULLIES. I REALLY DO. But in this case, i think hes less of a bully, and just someone who's mean/cocky to hide his emotions. Nothing he's said or done has actually been hurtful so ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Yeah, that’s what I figured as well... but for arguments sake, I didn’t want to jump to conclusions either ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
All in all I don’t think this guys is a bully at all tbh

one instance of placing your jacket over your wet classmate well essentially calling them an eyesore is not being nice. Secondly a person doesn't to be physically bullied for it to be bullying. Our MC was bullied, he was repeatedly tripped, made fun of, targeted for his looks that fact that your excusing that because someone placed a jacket on him is ridiculous. This reaffirms my point made in the original post. People make excuses for how boys are suppose to behave when they like someone. You never hear that kind of garbage about girls because they're forced to play the role of being nice to their crush or their considered crazed or undesirable for being brutish. The double standard of how men and women are allowed to express their affection is exactly why we allow domestic violence to be an offshoot of "love hurts", no one should ever feel hurt when they are respectfully loved. I'm not jumping to conclusions, it's simply being excused and if you find this endearing that's exactly the sort of mindset that's the issue here.

Uhhhhh where did I excuse any of his behavior? I explained that the jacket scene was hardly him bullying the other dude. Calm down

    Um, actually...
I dont think he WAS "tripped" I think HE tripped. Like, if you look on the page, 10, they were already standing there...? Also, if they actually meant to trip him, wouldnt they laugh after? There was no laughter and they asked if he was "okay". When was he made fun of? When he told him to "come over when classes are over"? (Because he had no friends). When he said "i'll give you three minutes" (was probably a joke, or him saying thats how long he'd wait for him... not bullying). When exactly was he bullied for his looks?? When he said "just looking at you pisses me off"? Again, i think the seme was more talking to himself and this will probably be explained later...
All in all, i dont disagree with you. In fact, i actually agree with you and your points exactly. THERE IS A DOUBLE STANDARD. STOP ROMANTICIZING BULLYING.
But in this case, and in this particular manga, thats not whats going on (IMO).
Now, if we were talking about another manga, like say... Hidoku Shinaide or something, then I'd agree 100% handsdown
But for now, this aint it

Honestly in this story, I can't confirm that the seme's an actual bully yet. I think his attitude is different from our MC and that he doesn't understand why he's like that. The uke never refuse him and I felt like the seme is thinking that he likes him that's why he's following his wishes. Unlike other 'bully', he helps him when he's trouble.
