It is heart breaking. I had a friend who I was very closed to in elementary school. He moved away and we didn't meet again until we both became married adults. He's changed so much that he's not even like the person I knew back then.
It's the moment you realize that the person that you knew is gone and will never return. Even though they're right in front of you, they're gone forever.
I relate to that. I moved after elementry school, and recently found some of my best friend's social media accounts. Seeing how they chafed was really sad because I will always know them only as being innocent children. It's sad to see my idealized memories compared to reality
Man, it must be bittersweet to reunite with your best friend only to realize how much he has changed. I'm cheering for these cuties, I hope that they'll create even better memories now!
