ch10: Tia spots a flower on the lake - and it calls out to here like a spell. She falls in and sees her father's ambivalent face as she begins to drown and a monster starts to pull her under. She calls him a bastard as she loses consciousness. She wakes up to see him walk away after coolly plucking her from the water. Tia is comforted by her maid. Tia is shocked and tells herself - how could she have thought it even possible to gain affection from a psycho like him? - and ultimately concludes - that she is craving chocolate. She gets out of bed and sneaks into the kitchen when...

ch11: Her maid tells her she better go outside and see - The king has assigned an army of maids and a bodyguard (Felix!) to Tia. They will start serving her from today. She is a bit depressed that she doesn't have her old maids (Hanna & Sess) - she spent so much time getting on their good side! But apparently they had already been reassigned. Felix assures her if she wants them - she will have them - so why doesn't she go ask the King? - esp since the King has asked to see her today. Tia is dreading seeing him again. Felix happily tells Tia - isn't it great that the King saved her from the lake monster (that disguises itself as a beautiful flower to enchant people into fall into the lake) - but Tia is still upset by the King's cold attitude towards her almost dying! Outside the King's room, Tia asks Felix - why aren't there any servants or guards? Felix replies that there is no need - the King is safe without them (aka King is very strong - doesn't need them). They get to the King's room and it appears the King is sleeping. Tia thinks they'll just leave - but Felix suggests that she go in and wake him - and plop in she goes. Tia looks around the room and is obviously impressed by a 100% gold painting on the wall. She also sees a portrait of Janet's mother lying on the floor instead of hung up with the other paintings. She turns around to see Claude sleeping on a couch (which she didn't expect - why isn't he on his bed?) He is deeply asleep - deeply - Tia thinks... should I hit him?

ch 12: revenge time! She lifts her arms, and is about to hit him when a rock from here sleeve (unclear to me how it got there) falls and hits the sleeping king. After a moment of panic, she quickly turns her "about to hit you" motion into a "patting you lovingly while singing a lullaby motion". He asks her what song she's singing. She replies - a song that makes bad dreams go away! She continues to act cute around him - even if plan c fails - it will only help the success of plan b! During dinner she accidentally flings her knife into the air. The king simply responses that he will send an etiquette teacher to teach her. Tia returns to her manor and goes to sleep listening to Lily's lullaby. We cut to Felix and the king talking about Tia. Felix is very positive about how cute Tia is and how much she looks like Diana. The King is fairly negative - saying he will forget Diana's face in a year's time. Felix asks - but isn't Tia lovely? The King replies - he hasn't felt that way in a long time - cut to portrait of Jane's mother. As Felix leaves, he contemplates that even if the King doesn't believe he has it in him - Felix trusts that the King is still able to care and hopes that the King will also be happy someday. >< cut to the cutest picture of Tia!

ch 13: Tia: Tia is honored to have been invited to tea time! Tia: *what do you think? aren't I cute?* She had even practiced being cute - but no visible affection from Claude - but what did she expect? It's a month after ch12 and Tia and Claude have seen each other every day for tea time. But the response from Claude is still fairly cold. Tia: I had a great dream! where you me and Lily and Felix all had a great time together! Claude: what a silly dream. But Tia doesn't back down ^^ Tia: I was really happy to be able to spend time with Daddy! As cake arrives Tia thinks maybe she should just stick to eating cake - because sometimes even she is surprised by the things she says. Tia notices the maid looking at her with a shocked expression - Tia realizes its probably the first time the maids had ever heard a part of their conversation - usually they're standing too far away. Tia looks at Claude and wonders if he's sleepy - *if so he should have just moved tea time to the afternoon*. Tia notices what Claude is drinking and cutely says she wants to try, ("I want to have the same thing Papa has!"). She's surprised at her own forwardness - but hey -it gets boring just eating cake and honey milk every day. It is delicious. Tia: It tastes like flowers are blooming in my mouth! (I don't know how to make that sound cute - but Tia makes it sound cute). The King and Felix are shocked. Felix reveals it's a tea that Diana used to love having and in fact she was the one who introduced the king to it - and when she was alive she would say something very similar. Claude stops Felix saying that he doesn't remember having heard such a thing - and isn't Felix being too noisy today. Tia assumes this is Claude minimizing the relationship he had with Diana. As if to say - who remembers that woman .. unlike Janet's mother whose portrait he still had. Claude comments that Tia is too young to have tea - and that is that. // Felix asks Tia - what are you drawing? Tia replies - stupid Felix - you don't recognize the beautiful Lily? Felix: I think I recognize this person- is it the King? Tia: wrong again - this one I'm giving to you. Felix: is this perhaps.. me? Felix promises to treasure it for life. She hands the other to Lily and starts drawing Claude - then herself. Tia asks Lily - what did my mother look like? Felix and Lily freeze. Tia: I want to draw mommy but I don't know what she looks like - does she have straight hair like Lily or curly? Lily begins to describe Tia's mother - a beautiful blonde, just like Tia. Even the novel had described Diana as bewitching. She must have been beautiful to catch Claude's eye and even have Tia. Tia: I would have liked to have seen her too... Tia noticed the silence that fell upon the room - Tia:*did I just say that out loud?*
