I think he meant that he was beginning to lose interest in Bertia's attempts to get him close to the Heroinia ( which was something he found fun about Bertia that led him to continue his engagement with her). In my opinion, i think its because instead of that, he was beginning to have fun just being with Bertia or just talking to her (so it's like his reason for keeping Bertia changed from something superficial to something more(●￣(ｴ)￣●) ........................i guess??(￣∇￣")) . .Σ( ￣□￣||) Is it LOVE(⊙…⊙ ) ?? Is love finally blooming?? ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ . As for the heronia, i don't think he was even interested in her in the first place, so she's out of question in the dialogue. (=・ω・=)
I feel that what he meant was that he’s in the beginning it was fun because her schemes were mainly based on his well being and to his future interactions with the main cast and heroine. However now that he has started developing feelings for Bertia his feelings to when she tries to pair him off to the heroine leaves him feeling of melancholy. He has feelings her and he knows she feels the same but insists that they just weren’t meant to be together, and won’t explain why that is.(●￣(ｴ)￣●)
Did he got bored of bertia or got bored of heronia? I have read the novel but I am a little bit confused og the sentences in the last two pages.
