I agree, it's a really frustrating cycle for what is otherwise a great story with great characters you don't often see represented in manga. It's harder and harder to picture resolution anytime soon, or even any meaningful plot development other than a lack of communication between two people who like each other.
I used to love this manga, and it taught me amazing things about hearing disabilities and their struggles. But now it's just... tiring? It's the same misunderstanting over and over again, and they've had so many opportunities to clear that up but instead it's dragged (and worsened) every chapter. I wouldn't be as tired if this manga was one with weekly updates*, for instance, because that would mean this plotline would change fairly quickly. Instead, we are given a chapter or so every three months, and that chapter is always to add angst in the plot, so we've been stuck FOR YEARS watching an ambiguous and painful relationship between two people who do not work to stay together. I just hope the plotline changes soon to something brighter - or at least new.
*this is by no means a critic to the scanlation group working on this, they are amazing and I am glad they do such a difficult work for us all without being given nothing (but gratitude) in return.
