I believe he’s supposed to be an ushi-oni, which is a traditional mythological beast from Japanese folklore. They are cryptids who have spider legs and ox heads, but I think this mangaka probably switched it to a wolf cause it’s a nicer aesthetic than an ox face lol (but explains the horns.)
