Been 30 chapters and I still dont know why the title refers to Elise as the royal lady with a LAMP. what lamp??? Where is the lamp?? WHY is the lamp????

    The title is referring to events that will takes place in the future. It actually already happened in the raws.

    It is called "Elise, the royal Lady with the Lamp" in others translation, and it is quite possibly the title of the novel it is based upon.

    Just guessing, but maybe it is because it is the symbol for nurses?

    The original lady with the lamp is Florence Nightingale, she's a nurse that carries lamp in the dark hallways to aid soldiers during the Crimean war. So its like the same concept of what Elise wants to do to the people in need.

    I think that's because our mama (I'm s nurse) Florence Nightingale used to carry along a lamp when checking the patients during night. It symbolize caring.
