Some proportional body things I was taught: that your hands are the same length as the length of your chin to your brow bone, and that your arm span if you hold your arms out from your side is the same length as you are tall, so perhaps ther is some basis for the shoe/hand size thing? Though height would not directly correlate with length, so yeahhh
