She's no racist but prejudice. She's a native American woman who don't want her son to be together with someone white, and it's most likely do to the history of what white people have done to native Americans and especially native American woman
That's still called racist, no matter what's her reasoning behind her hate. For a prejudiced person, abomination is a very strong word to use in relation to her son.
