Kaede is Ayame's older brother (and seems to have a bro/man- crush on him, which explains the cupcakes in high school). The company they and Shuu work for is owned by their mom. The company has a policy to "partner" people of different work backgrounds to bounce ideas and improve work productivity, but it's really a policy to to "partner" an Omega with a Beta on the job so the Omega doesn't inconvenience the company in any way. So when Kaede came back from business overseas he heard an Alpha volunteered to "partner" with an Omega and found out from Shuu it was his brother Ayame. Kaede is asking why he did this when they are both up for promotions and both candidates for for the future presidency of the company? Ayame says that Shuu is a brilliant worker and they can do amazing things for the company together and his brother basically calls him out on it by saying come on, you really became Shuu's "partner" for the company and not for yourself. And if you really want to do amazing things for the company, don't be playing around with an omega. He ends it by saying "If your really thinking about the company, act more prudently". Like don't disgrace the company or family and knock up an omega. I think the brothers are expected by the family to marry well off and to Alphas. But Ayame believes in 'fated pairs' so I'm guessing he has always liked Shuu and wants him, but his family probably wont allow it so he has always acted like an ass to him. Maybe so he would not become attached....well that's not working for either of them! Hope this makes sense ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

It’s strange. When Shuu was drunk, I can see Ayame’s love in his eyes. But at work, Ayame seems to be strict even rude to Shuu. why does he have to do that ??
By the way, I still don’t get the conversation between Ayame and the other guy in chapter 2 when Shuu was drunk. Can anyone explain to me please, I read it twice :(
