Arent you taking that too serious? I dont think mangaka wanted to normalize rape, but the manga is based on feudal Japan where women purposes were to take care of the household, bear children and satisfy men.
Their women were taken away for long time and they are hurt and desesperate,in situations like that it wouldnt be that weird that young and beautiful men were used as women to satisfy powerful men of their lands.
I think that it was the idea, sensei didnt express it well but I can see her point.

Nobody said that’s rape is okay or justifiable, and Mauri’s situation and what they said about woman was not okay, but this was how it was though the of back in the day and the authour just presented that.
Normalisation? That’s because it was normal in that age. The premise also leaves a bad taste in my mouth but that just how it is, since the story isn’t centred around the social and historic problems in that age, the author problem didn’t have much space nor thought too much about going deeply into the issue which is why it ended up like that.

Yeah but that was not the purpose of that.t line. And I don't think they were normalizing rape .. No body said it's justifiable.. Maybe u should read some ancient Korea or Japan stories .. There were many situation like this..cause at that time women were treated somewhat inferior and the main purpose of their life was child bearing.. it's not only the male but the female even had that mentality and attitude.. That's why it's not the author's thinking but reality of that age.
what. the. fuck.
