The prince isn't suddenly fighting for her attention, he's disappointed that she don't want to marry him, but he grew interested in her by how devoted she was to her craft (seen in earlier chapters) and by how nice/clever she is.
Suddenly? Elise was a total c*nt back in Her past life so no duh he didn’t want her. Why is he wrong for falling in love with the current version of her, which would be the only version he’s aware of
Gosh... so she goes around and around in circles, only to end up following his whims.
So what's next? She starts meeting this guy frequently, fall in love, find out his true identity and BAM they marry while she side-work as a doc? well damn that's so original and totally non-predictable #－.－)
Sorry for the rant guys, but it still irks me that the prince is fighting for her attention now only because she rejected him. And Mike won't even get a chance? just excellent
